We manufacture high-quality reinforced PVC blast tubes (blast bags) for the open-cast coal mining industry worldwide. Designed and tested in conjunction with Glencore Mining, these blast tubes have been an integral part of the safe blasting of hot and venting holes since 2021.
Where and When to Use Blast Tubes

Blast Sleeve Sizes & Technical Specs
All blast bags are manufactured from reinforced PVC of 550g, 700g or 800g depending on hole size and bag length. Bags are made for drill-hole diameters of 127mm, 171mm, 200mm and 250mm, with bag lengths increasing in 2m increments. Bags are made slightly larger than the hole to friction-fit the sides, safely supporting the explosives.

Built to Work – Smart Design Features
- ✅ Reinforced PVC – polyester scrim-reinforced for maximum bag strength.
- ✅ Stainless steel eyelets – evenly spaced on a 50mm folded seam to secure ropes.
- ✅ Heat welded – 50mm pressurised lap joint along the tube length for maximum strength.
- ✅ High-frequency welded – 50mm seam at the bottom to seal the bag.
- ✅ Quality control – batch air-tested every 10/100 at the factory.
Using Blast Sleeves On Site
- Sleeves arrive rolled up in packs of 5.
- Unrolled and laid flat.
- A knot is tied at the end of the bag.
- Bags are inserted into the holes.
- Secured at the top of the hole using ropes attached to a stick.
- Sensors are placed inside the bag and boosters readied.
- Bags are filled with emulsion.
- Blasting procedures are followed as per normal.
